Resumo

Introdução: Diferenças biológicas relacionadas ao sexo podem contribuir para a heterogeneidade molecular do LUAD, incluindo variações na expressão de miRNAs.

Objetivo: Identificar miRNAs associados ao LUAD de acordo com o sexo e avaliar suas associações com a sobrevida e vias biológicas enriquecidas.

Métodos: Dados de expressão de miRNAs e dados clínicos do The Cancer Genome Atlas foram analisados separadamente para homens e mulheres. Foram realizadas análises de expressão diferencial, sobrevida e enriquecimento de vias biológicas.

Resultados: Foram identificados 130 miRNAs diferencialmente expressos em homens e 208 em mulheres. Dois miRNAs foram associados à sobrevida no grupo masculino e oito no feminino. A análise de enriquecimento revelou perfis funcionais distintos entre os grupos.

Conclusão: Os achados exploratórios indicam diferenças relacionadas ao sexo nos perfis de miRNAs e em suas associações com a sobrevida e vias biológicas no LUAD, fornecendo subsídios para futuras investigações sobre seu potencial prognóstico.
